Despite its superior properties, it is known that wood deteriorates due to physical, chemical, mechanical, biological, and human-induced reasons. The most common protection method applied to increase the performance of wood against various factors is impregnation. However, the materials and methods used to impregnate wood vary. The variety of structural elements in which wood is used and the performances expected from these elements diversify the impregnation processes. It becomes difficult for the architect to choose impregnated wood in this diversity. In this context, this research aims to provide a guiding guide through impregnation processes targeting the mechanical properties of wood. Within the scope of the research, 17 articles with experimental content on the subject were examined in the Dergipark database and analyzed in terms of purposeful features. As a result of the research, guide diagrams were obtained that will rationalize the impregnated wood selection processes for architects and focus on the mechanical properties of the wood.}, number={1}, publisher={Kirklareli University}
