This study explores the potential of irisin in mitigating ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury following ovarian torsion-detorsion (T/D), with a focus on oxidative stress and inflammatory mediators.Methods: Twenty-four female Sprague-Dawley rats were allocated into three groups: Sham, T/D, and irisin 10 μg/kg. Oxidative stress markers—total oxidant status (TOS), oxidative stress index (OSI), malondialdehyde (MDA), and myeloperoxidase (MPO)—were measured to assess tissue damage. Antioxidant parameters, including superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and total antioxidant status (TAS) were evaluated.
