Method: It was conducted using a methodological design with 263 hypertension patients between January 31, 2024 and April 31, 2024. Data were collected using a Patient Information Form, the Hypertension Treatment Adherence Scale, and the Hill-Bone Compliance to High Blood Pressure Therapy Scale. The linguistic validity, content validity, and construct validity of the scale were assessed. Internal consistency was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient, item-total correlation, split-half method, and time invariance tests. The reliability of the scale was further assessed through test-retest measurements. Statistical significance was accepted as p <0.05. Results: In this study, 58.9% of the patients were women, and 52.9% were primary school graduates. The average duration of hypertension was 10.48±9.06 years and the average duration of medication use was 10.06±8.90 years. The content validity index of the scale was 0.98. In the factor analysis, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value was 0.759, Bartlett’s test of sphericity was χ²=3051.078, p=0.000. In the exploratory factor analysis, the total explained variance was found to be 70.377%. The fit indices obtained from the confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the values were within acceptable and normal ranges, demonstrating a good fit. The Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was 0.760, while those of the subscales ranged from 0.733 to 0.930. Conclusion: The Hypertension Treatment Adherence Scale was found to be a valid and reliable instrument for assessing treatment adherence among hypertension patients among the Turkish population.}, number={2}, publisher={Kılıçhan BAYAR}, organization={This study was not supported financial.}
