AB  - Jacques Adda’nın orijinal ismi “La Mondialisation de l’e ́conomie; de la gene ̀ese a ̀ la crise” (Ekonominin Küreselleşmesi: Yaradılıştan Krize, 1996) olan Fransızca eserinin Türkçe ilk baskısı 2002 yılında “Ekonominin Küreselleşmesi” başlığıyla yayımlanmıştır. Kitap küresel ekonominin kökenlerini ve gelişimini ele almaktadır. Avrupa merkezli bir bakış açısıyla, küreselleşmeyi kapitalizmin dünya genelindeki yayılımı olarak tanımlanıp, bu sürecin jeopolitik ve ekonomik boyutlarını incelemektedir. Pazar kapitalizminin uluslararası kökenleri sorgulanarak geleneksel görüşlerin tarihsel ve antropolojik verilere dayanarak eleştirisi yapılmakta ve küreselleşmenin sorunları ve geleceği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, adı geçen kitap içerik ve kapsam açısından değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma, konuları ele alış ve işleyiş açısından, küreselleşmenin tarihsel kökenlerine inmesi nedeniyle bugüne kadarki pek çok çalışmadan farklılaşmaktadır. Yazara göre “küreselleşmeden bahsetmek, kapitalizmin küresel ekonomik alandaki etkisini anımsatmak demektir. Bu etki, yalnızca bir devlet bloğunun diğeri üzerindeki zaferiyle ya da bir ekonomik sistemin rakipleri üzerindeki zaferiyle sınırlı değildir. Aslında, devletlerarası sistemin mantığını aşarak, onun yerine ulus ötesi ağların mantığını koyma eğilimindedir”. Küreselleşmeyi, “küresel ölçekte sermaye birikimini engelleyen fiziksel ve düzenleyici sınırları aşma, parçalama ve nihayetinde ortadan kaldırma süreci” olarak nitelendirmekte ve Avrupalı dünya ekonomisinin nasıl küreselleştiği sorularına cevap aramaktadır.

N2  - The first Turkish edition of Jacques Adda’s work, originally titled “La Mondialisation de l’e ́conomie; de la gene ̀ese a ̀ la crise” (The Globalization of the Economy; from Genesis to Crisis, 1996), was published in 2002 under the title “Globalisation of the Economy.” The book examines the origins and development of the global economy. From a European-centric perspective, globalisation is defined as the spread of capitalism throughout the world, and the geopolitical and economic dimensions of this process are examined. The international roots of market capitalism are questioned, traditional views are critiqued based on historical and anthropological data, and the problems and future of globalisation are discussed. This study attempts to critically evaluate the aforementioned book in terms of content and scope. This study differs from many studies to date in terms of addressing and processing the issues, as it delves into the historical roots of globalization. According to the author, “speaking of globalization means recalling the impact of capitalism on the global economic sphere. This impact is not limited to the victory of one state bloc over another or the victory of one economic system over its rivals. In fact, it tends to transcend the logic of the interstate system and replace it with the logic of transnational networks.” He defines globalization as “the process of overcoming, fragmenting, and ultimately eliminating the physical and regulatory boundaries that hinder capital accumulation on a global scale” and seeks answers to the questions of how the European world economy became globalized.
