Data analysis was carried out using the Bibliometrix package in the R programming environment.
Results: The findings revealed that research on acupressure in surgical nursing was conducted in 10 different countries with contributions from 411 researchers affiliated with more than 40 institutions. The earliest publication in this field was from 2002, with a significant increase in publications noted in 2021 and 2023. Yeh M.L. was recognized as the most productive author, while China, Iran, and the United States were the primary contributors to research output. The Chinese Medical University was identified as the institution with the highest activity.
Conclusion: The results highlight thematic gaps in the literature, identify prominent but under-explored areas, categorize keyword clusters, and map research collaborations. These insights also point to future research opportunities in the field of acupressure applied to surgery in nursing.
}, number={28}
