AB  - Tarihi kent merkezleri, bir şehrin ilk yerleşim alanı olan, tarihsel, kültürel, mimari ve toplumsal özelliklerini koruyarak günümüze ulaşmış yerlerdir. Öte yandan küreselleşme ve kapitalizmin etkisiyle yenilenmeye ihtiyaç duyan bu mekânlarda yer kaybının ortaya çıkması söz konusudur. Bu açıdan, tarihi kent merkezlerinde yer duygusunun sürdürülmesi ve korunması büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Yer duygusu; anlam, deneyim ve kimliği kapsayan, insanların ihtiyaçlarına yanıt verme durumu olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın temel amacı Hacıbayram Meydanı ve çevresinde yerin sahip olduğu çevresel özelliklerin, yer duygusunun ölçülmesinde kullanılan yer bağlılığı, yer bağımlılığı ve yer kimliği ile ilişkisini kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarına yönelik olarak ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın yönteminde, “Çevresel Özellikler Ölçeği” geliştirilmiş ve “Yer Duygusu Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntem çerçevesinde, Hacıbayram Meydanı’nın ne derece “kaliteli bir yer” olduğu, yenileme sürecinin kullanıcılar üzerindeki yer duygusunu nasıl etkilediği kullanıcı ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda ortaya konmuştur. Sonuç olarak, düşük gelirli katılımcıların yere daha yüksek bağlılık gösterdikleri, kullanıcıların yeri çoğunlukla işlevsel olarak tercih ettikleri, 61 yaş ve üzeri kullanıcılar üzerinde yer bağlılığının/aidiyetin daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Hacıbayram Meydanı’nda geleneksel dokunun değiştiği, uzun süreli kullanımların oluşmadığı bir yere dönüştüğü görülmüştür. Aynı zamanda, yerin sahip olduğu dini niteliklerin yer bağlılığını güçlendirdiği, kullanım alanlarının yeterli olmasının, erişimin kolay olmasının yer bağımlılığını artırdığı, yerin sembolik değerinin yüksek olmasının yer kimliğini olumlu yönden etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre, kullanıcıların yeri sahiplenmesine yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

N2  - Historical city centers are the first settlement areas of a city that have survived to the present day by preserving their historical, cultural, architectural and social characteristics. On the other hand, there is a loss of place in these places, which are in need of renewal due to the effects of globalization and capitalism. In this respect, maintaining and preserving the sense of place in historical city centers is of great importance. Sense of place is defined as the state of responding to people’s needs, including meaning, experience and identity. In this context, the main purpose of the study is to reveal the relationship between the environmental attributes of the place and place attachment, place dependency, place identity, which are used in the measurement of sense of place, in terms of user needs. In the methodology of the study, “Environmental Attributes Scale” was developed and “Sense of Place Scale” was used.. Within the framework of this method, the extent to which Hacıbayram Square is a “quality place” and how the renovation process affects the sense of place of the users were revealed in line with user needs. As a result, it was found that low-income participants showed higher attachment to the place and users mostly preferred the place functionally, and place attachment was higher among users aged 61 and over. It has been observed that the traditional fabric of Hacıbayram Square has changed and turned into a place where long-term uses do not occur. Also, it has been determined that the religious qualities of the place strengthen place attachment, the adequacy of usage areas and easy access increase place dependence, and the high symbolic value of the place positively affects place identity. According to these results, recommendations are presented for users to take ownership of the place.
