Utilizing document analysis and an intrinsic case study design, the research was developed with a self-reflective stance by the series’ authors. As the first locally produced French textbook series tailored for the tourism sector in Türkiye, Franco-Pass demonstrates a progression across levels. A1 tasks are mainly confined to classroom communication, A2 introduces more complex, multi-skill tasks, while B1 emphasizes production and reflective thinking in social contexts. Project-based learning evolves from basic activities at A1 to structured, outcome-focused projects at A2 and B1. Intercultural content shifts from informational to critical and empathetic engagement by B1. While the series effectively addresses local needs, it could benefit from more systematic development in interculturality, authenticity, and process-oriented assessment. CR - Aslim-Yetis, V. (2010).
