However, old antibiotics, whichhave toxic side effects, should be re-used because of the lack of newly developed antibiotics. One of these is colistin which has both nephrotoxicand neurotoxic side effects. Especially due to nephrotoxicity side effec, serious problems can be experienced in the use of colistin. In this article, acase of reversible nephrotoxicity after colistin usage is presented. Ancak yeni geliştirilenantibiyotikler pek olmadığı için toksik yan etkileri bulunan eski antibiyotikler tekrar kullanılmak durumundadır. Bunlardan bir tanesi de hem nefrotoksikhem nörotoksik yan etkisi bulunan kolistindir. Özellikle nefrotoksisite yan etkisi nedeniyle kolistin kullanımında ciddi sıkıntılar yaşanabilmektedir.
