Special care is taken to determine whether the infection was acquired before or after conception. Although rare, congenital toxoplasmosis can cause severe neurological or ocular disease, as well as cardiac and cerebral anomalies. The risk of fetal transmission of T. gondi infection which is acquired during gestation is effected by gestational age and treatment. Education of pregnant women about prevention of toxoplasmosis is very important. The purpose of this review is to provide an update on the diagnosis, treatment and management of toxoplasmosis during pregnancy KW - Pregnancy KW - Toxoplasmosis KW - Congenital infection N2 - Toxoplasma gondii major zoonotik paraziter enfeksiyonlardan biri olup insanda genellikle asemptomatik olarak seyretmektedir, fakat konjenital enfekte olan yenidoğanlarda ciddi klinik tablolara neden olabilir.
