In this perspective, the objective is to discuss the expertise involved in dealing with the Sa’ada project Phase 2, which aims to establish a sustainable connection to the nearby waterfront projects via proposing an innovative concept of a pedestrian bridge connecting the adjacent Plaza in Muharraq City, Bahrain, to the nearby waterfront. The research methodology is qualitative analysis. Moreover, conducting focus group discussions with specialists will guide the research to embody Muharraq’s heritage features, practical solutions for an innovative, sustainable pedestrian bridge and plaza, and foster the social uses of Muharraq’s residents and tourists are critical points of discussion. The study provides design strategies for integrating regional identity with modern city development.
