Subclavian steal sendromu oluşturan lezyonlar 9 olguda sol subclavian arterde, 2 olguda sağ subclavian arterde idi. KW - Subeclavian steal Carotid- KW - subclavian bypass KW - Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi N2 - Between January 21, 1985 and June 30, 1991 at Ankara University Ibn-i Sina Hospital Cardiovasculer Surgery Department, eleven patients who had subelavian steal syndrom underwent operative treatment, Arteriosclerotic lesions were located at left proximal subclavian artery in nine and at right in two. Syncope was the most encountered symptom. The type and timing of the surgery was confirmed by arcus aortagraphy. The last 8 patients underwent extrathoracic common carotid subclavian bypass with prosthetic condiut. The first 3 patient were treated by intrathoracic aorta subclavian bypasses. There was no operative mortality. All patients were symptomatic. Doppler velocimeter and coloured doppler tecnigues yielded patent bypass grafts, Extrathoracic carotid subclavian bypasses are simple and effective insubclavian steal syndromes. CR - 1.
