KW - DERİ KW - GREFT KW - FLEB N2 - The transfer of a piece of skin completely removed from the donor area to another part of the body of the same person is known as autogenous skin grafting. A skin graft consists of epidermis and dermis of different thicknesses. Another skin transfer method is the one performed with pedicled flaps. The blood supply required for the nutrition of the flap is provided by this pedicle until it is provided from the recipient bed. Autogenous free skin transfer is frequently used after tumor or scar excision and for the closure of burn wounds. The skin consists of epidermis and dermis. The color, thickness, and elasticity of the skin vary according to age, gender, and body region. The thickest areas of the skin are the soles of the feet, palms of the hands, and back skin, while the thinnest areas are the eyelids, behind the ears, and supraclavicular regions (21). CR - 1.
