Between the years 1972-1978. Twenty six of them (32.5%) were diagnosed as having congenital heart disease. The ratio of girls to boys Was 10 : 16 respectively. Eight patients (27 %) died because of congestive heart failure and respiratory diseases. Among the congenital heart diseases, Endocordial Cushion Defect “had the highest prevalance 42.3% -11 of the 26 patients. Ventricular Septal Defect (9 cases-34.6 %), Atrial Septal Defect (3 cases-11.5 %), Tetralogy of Fallot (2 cases-7.7 %) and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (1 cases-3.8 %) were following this respectively. Early diagnosis and surgical treatment will decrease mortality rate in these patients.}, number={4}, publisher={Ankara University}
