Both patients experienced abrupt onset of tachycardia, hypertension, and cardiac arrhythmias. Prompt interventions—discontinuation of halothane and N₂O, initiation of 100% oxygen ventilation, and administration of thiopental and antihypertensives (Serpasil, Citanest)—led to rapid stabilization. No postoperative complications were observed. Literature review confirms halothane sensitizes the myocardium to catecholamines, and intravenous adrenaline under halothane anesthesia poses significant arrhythmic risk. These cases underscore the contraindication of intravenous adrenaline in halothane anesthesia and the critical importance of rapid clinical response in accidental administration.}, number={5-6}, publisher={Ankara University}
