AB  - Özofagus kanserinden ölen 46 yaşında bir kadında bir kronik tiroidit vak'ası takdim edildi. Hasta bir sene önce boynundaki şişliğin farkına varmış. Otopsi materyelinde mikroskopik olarak tiroidin sağ 'obunda Riedel tipinde struma ile kireçlenme mihrakları, sol lobda Hashimoto tipinde kronik tiroidit görüldü. Bu vak'a münasebetiyle iki tipin tek bir antite olduğunu ve ayni hastalığın muhtelif safhalarını göstirdiklerini kabul eden müelliflerle ayni fikirdeyiz.

N2  - A case of chronic thyroiditis is presented in a 46-year-old woman who died of esophageal cancer. The patient had noticed a swelling in her neck a year earlier. Microscopic examination of the autopsy specimen revealed Riedel-type struma and calcification lesions in the right lobe of the thyroid, and Hashimoto-type chronic thyroiditis in the left lobe. Regarding this case, we agree with the authors who consider the two types to be a single entity and represent different stages of the same disease.
