AB  - This study aims to evaluate the effects of Islamic finance on economic growth in the light of empirical data. The study analyses the economic growth data of 13 countries, namely Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Pakistan, Oman, Turkey and Indonesia, where Islamic finance is widely applied, for the period 2013-2021. The potential effects of Islamic financial systems on macroeconomic performance in these countries are presented comparatively through graphical analyses within the framework of growth rates, country profiles and periodic developments. The findings show that financial inclusion and capital accumulation play a supportive role in economic growth in countries with a strong Islamic finance sector. However, structural differences and financial depth levels of countries stand out as important factors that heterogenise the impact of Islamic finance on growth. In this context, the study points out that the Islamic finance system offers an important alternative financing model not only in line with ethical and religious principles but also in terms of sustainable development goals.

N2  - Bu çalışma, İslami finansın ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkilerini ampirik veriler ışığında değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, İslami finansın yaygın olarak uygulandığı 13 ülkenin (Sudan, Suudi Arabistan, Bruney, Kuveyt, Malezya, Nijerya, Bangladeş, Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri, Ürdün, Pakistan, Umman, Türkiye ve Endonezya) 2013-2021 dönemine ait ekonomik büyüme verileri analiz edilmiştir. İslami finans sistemlerinin bu ülkelerdeki makroekonomik performans üzerindeki potansiyel etkileri, büyüme oranları, ülke profilleri ve dönemsel gelişmeler çerçevesinde grafiksel analizlerle karşılaştırmalı olarak sunulmuştur. Bulgular, güçlü bir İslami finans sektörüne sahip ülkelerde finansal kapsayıcılık ve sermaye birikiminin ekonomik büyümeyi destekleyici bir rol oynadığını göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte, ülkelerin yapısal farklılıkları ve finansal derinlik düzeyleri, İslami finansın büyüme üzerindeki etkisini heterojenleştiren önemli faktörler olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, İslami finans sisteminin yalnızca etik ve dini ilkeler doğrultusunda değil, aynı zamanda sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri açısından da önemli bir alternatif finansman modeli sunduğuna işaret etmektedir.
