This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 4,609 articles indexed in the Scopus database, revealing the intellectual foundations, thematic clusters, and evolutionary trajectory of the field. Performance analysis and science mapping techniques are employed to examine productivity trends, citation distributions, author, institutional, and journal contributions, while conceptual and structural relationships are visualized through co-authorship, keyword co-occurrence, citation, and bibliographic coupling analyses. The findings show that the field has evolved in three phases (1990–2005: emergence, 2006–2015: growth, 2016–2025: acceleration) and that, in recent years, the circular economy, Industry 4.0 technologies, and digital transformation have become central research themes. Keyword analysis identified seven thematic clusters, while citation analysis highlighted six intellectual foundations. The study contributes theoretically by synthesizing the field into a holistic framework, methodologically by employing dynamic bibliometric techniques such as temporal mapping, burst detection, and strategic diagramming, and practically by identifying knowledge gaps for researchers, integrative approaches for practitioners, and innovation-oriented regulations for policymakers. Overall, the findings demonstrate that green manufacturing has evolved from compliance-based practices to an interdisciplinary, circular, and digitalization-driven paradigm, offering a strong roadmap for building a sustainable and competitive manufacturing future.}, number={2}, publisher={Selcuk University}
