The universe of this study was consisted of 3-6 years of children with DS located in Ankara, in 2010-2011. All participants are paid attention to have a special education evaluation report in Down syndrome diagnosis.The basic concepts scores were obtained through one-on-one application of the Boehm-3 Basic Concepts Test for children in the groupe DS. Participants’ MLUs were determined by taking natural language samples. It was found that the relationship between the MLU and basic concept total score of the children with DS (r=0.71; p <0.01) were significant. This study allowed us to investigate the MLU and basic concept development of the children in the DS groups in detail.
