AB  - Günümüzde sağlık turizmi, sağlık hizmetlerine erişimin kolaylaşması ve teknolojik gelişmelerin etkisiyle küresel ölçekte hızla büyüyen bir sektör hâline gelmiştir. Bu sektör, sağlık sistemlerinin yanı sıra ülke ekonomileri açısından da önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Bu nedenle sağlık turizmi alanına yönelik bilgi ve yetkinliklerin yükseköğretim düzeyinde kazandırılması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye’deki üniversitelerin Sağlık Yönetimi lisans programlarında sağlık turizmi dersinin müfredatta yer alıp almadığını ve mevcut olması durumunda dersin zorunlu veya seçmeli statüsünü incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.Araştırma bulgularına göre Türkiye’de toplam 72 üniversitede Sağlık Yönetimi lisans programı bulunmaktadır. Bu üniversitelerin 59’u devlet, 13’ü vakıf üniversitesidir. Sağlık Yönetimi bölümü 51 üniversitede Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi bünyesinde yer alırken, 21 üniversitede farklı fakülteler altında yapılandırılmıştır. Bu durum, sağlık yönetimi eğitiminin disiplinlerarası bir yapıya sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Sonuçlar, vakıf üniversitelerinde sağlık turizmi dersinin devlet üniversitelerine kıyasla daha yaygın olduğunu göstermektedir. Derslerin çoğunlukla üçüncü sınıfta verilmesi, öğrencilerin ileri sınıflarda bu alana yönelik bilgi edinmelerinin hedeflendiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca 29 üniversitede dersin seçmeli olarak sunulması, sektör ihtiyaçlarının müfredata yansıdığını göstermektedir. Buna karşın 14 üniversitede sağlık turizmi dersinin bulunmaması, bu alanda farkındalık veya akademik kaynak yetersizliğine işaret etmektedir. Bu bağlamda, sağlık turizmi derslerinin müfredatlarda daha yaygın hâle getirilmesi önem taşımaktadır.

N2  - Today, health tourism has become a rapidly growing sector worldwide due to technological advancements and improved access to healthcare services. This sector not only contributes to the development of healthcare systems but also provides significant economic benefits for countries. Therefore, equipping students with knowledge and competencies related to health tourism at the higher education level has become increasingly important. This study aims to examine whether a Health Tourism course is included in Health Management undergraduate programs at universities in Türkiye and, if so, whether the course is offered as compulsory or elective.According to the findings, there are a total of 72 universities in Türkiye offering Health Management undergraduate programs. Of these universities, 59 are public and 13 are foundation (private) universities. The Health Management department operates within Faculties of Health Sciences in 51 universities, while in 21 universities it is structured under different faculties. This situation indicates that health management education has an interdisciplinary structure that extends beyond health sciences and integrates with business and administrative sciences. The results also show that the Health Tourism course is offered more frequently in foundation universities than in public universities. The fact that the course is generally offered in the third year suggests that students are expected to gain more advanced knowledge about the field in the later stages of their education. In addition, the course is offered as an elective in 29 universities, reflecting the growing sectoral demand and the adaptation of curricula to these needs. However, the absence of a Health Tourism course in 14 universities may indicate a lack of awareness or insufficient academic resources in this field. Therefore, expanding the inclusion of health tourism courses in university curricula is of considerable importance.
