IMF, Dünya Bankası, TCMB ve TÜİK kaynaklarından derlenen veriler; tarımsal ihracat oranı (TEX), tarımsal ithalat oranı (TIM), petrol fiyatı (lnOIL), reel efektif döviz kuru (lnREER), tarımsal katma değer (AGR) ve enflasyon (INF) değişkenlerini kapsamaktadır. Johansen testi değişkenler arasında en az iki uzun dönem eşbütünleşme ilişkisi olduğunu %1 anlamlılık düzeyinde teyit etmektedir. VIF değerleri kontrol edilerek kurulan temel OLS modelinde tarımsal ihracat oranı tek anlamlı değişken olarak öne çıkmaktadır (β = 1,012; p = 0,002). Hata düzeltme modelinde ECT katsayısı -1,404 (p < 0,001) olarak tahmin edilmiş; kısa dönemde ΔTEX (β = 0,829; p = 0,002) ve ΔlnOIL (β = -2,020; p = 0,076) anlamlı bulunmuştur. Granger nedensellik testleri, tarımsal üretim kapasitesinden cari dengeye (AGR → CA) ve cari açıktan tarımsal ihracat oranına (CA → TEX) doğru iki yıllık gecikmeli nedensellik ilişkileri ortaya koymaktadır. Tarımsal ithalat oranının her iki analizde anlamsız çıkması, Türkiye’ye özgü dahilde işleme rejiminin yapısal bir yansıması olarak yorumlanmaktadır. Bulgular, cari denge üzerindeki en etkili politika aracının tarımsal ihracatın katma değer boyutunun güçlendirilmesi olduğuna işaret etmektedir. The dataset, compiled from IMF, World Bank, CBRT and TurkStat sources, covers the agricultural export share (TEX), agricultural import share (TIM), oil price (lnOIL), real effective exchange rate (lnREER), agricultural value added (AGR) and inflation (INF). The Johansen trace test confirms at least two long-run cointegrating vectors at the one-percent level. In the baseline OLS model estimated with heteroskedasticity-consistent (HC1) standard errors and verified VIF values below six, TEX emerges as the sole statistically significant variable (β = 1.012; p = 0.002). The error correction coefficient is -1.404 (p < 0.001), confirming the validity of the long-run equilibrium. In the short-run ECM, ΔTEX (β = 0.829; p = 0.002) and ΔlnOIL (β = -2.020; p = 0.076) are statistically meaningful. Granger causality tests reveal two-year lagged causality running from agricultural value added to the current account (AGR → CA) and from the current account deficit to the agricultural export share (CA → TEX). The insignificance of TIM across all specifications reflects Turkey’s structural reliance on inward processing, whereby imported agricultural raw materials are re-exported as processed goods. The findings indicate that strengthening the value-added dimension of agricultural exports constitutes the most effective policy lever for improving the current account balance. CR - Altay, A.
