AB  - Dünya Sağlık Örgütü menopozu over aktivite kaybından dolayı menstruasyonun sona ermesi olarak tanımlamaktadır [5]. Kadın yaşam süresinin artması ile birlikte menopoz dönemi içerisinde geçirilen süre de artmaktadır. Gelişmiş ülkelerde kadınların hayatlarının 1/3'ünü menopoz döneminde geçirdikleri bilinmektedir. Çalışma menopoz üzerine etkili olabilecek faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan 35 yaş üzeri kadınların %63.5'i menopoza girmiştir. Ortalama menopoz yaşları 46.9'dur. Menopoz durumları ile eğitim, hanede yaşayan kişi sayısı, doğum kontrol hapı kullanımı, annenin menopoz yaşı, evlilik yaşının etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Menopoz yaşının ve menopozu etkileyen ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesi kadınların menopoza girme durumlarını ve menopoz dönemi ile baş etme durumlarını değiştirecektir. Menopoz yaşı ve durumunu belirleyen araştırmalar yapılmalı ve kadınlar menopoz hakkında bilgilendirilmelidir.

N2  - World Health Organization defines the menopause as the end of the menstruation because of the loss of over activity [5]. The menopause duration also increases by the increase of women life span. It is reported that 1/3 of women's life spans is in the menopause duration in the developed countries. This study has been carried out with the aims of defining the factors to be effective on menopause. 63.5% of the women aged 35 and over attended to the study became menopause. The average menopause age is 46.9. Education, the number of the people living in the house, mother's menopause age, birth control pill usage, marriage age have been defined as effective for  menopause cases. Defining the menopause age ant the factors effecting will change the women's menopause states and cope with the menopause period. The studies should be carried out about menopause age and states and women should be informed about menopause.
