Kemik tozu yerine alternatif olarak kullanılabilen kalsiyum fosfat seramikleri biyoaktif özelliği nedeniyle yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bunun yanında, polivinil alkol (PVA) uygun mekanik özellikleri ile biyomedikal alanlarda kullanılan, biyouyumlu polimerik bir malzemedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, iki farklı mineralojik özelliğe sahip kalsiyum fosfat seramiklerinin (HA ve CPT) fiziksel ve mekanik özellikleri üzerine ZnO’in ve PVA’nın etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, püskürtmeli kurutma yöntemi ile çinko oksit (ZnO) katkılı HA-PVA ve CPT-PVA kompozit tozları hazırlanmıştır. Buna ek olarak, elde edilen kompozit tozların farklı sıcaklıklarda ısıl davranışları incelenmiş olup elde edilen numuneler taramalı elektron mikroskobisi (SEM), X-ışınları kırınımı (XRD) ve mikrosertlik testleri ile karakterize edilmişlerdir. Calcium phosphate ceramics, an alternative instead of bone meal, are commonly used due to their bioactive property. Also, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is biocompatible polymeric material with suitable mechanical properties which is used in biomedical areas. Within the scope of this work, the influence of ZnO and PVA on the physical and mechanical properties of two different mineralogical characteristics of calcium phosphate ceramics (HA and CPT) was investigated. For this purpose, spray drying method was used to prepare ZnO added HA-PVA and CPT-PVA composite powders. Furthermore, the spray dried composite powders were thermally treated at different temperatures.
