Foamed (sandwich) composites receive more attention because they are lightweight, flexible and aptly resistant for any use. This study explores the production, pros and cons of the foamed (sandwich) composite panels. The study deals with some technological properties of these panels in comparison to other panels. Foamed panels provide moisture resistant, portable, recycled and ecological panels with up to 40-70% reduced weight when compared to other composite panels, besides they have satisfactory mechanical properties. Technological properties of the produced foamed panels vary depending on the thickness of the foam sandwiched. The thicker the foam core, the more bending resistance and the less weight the panel had. Also some other properties such as water absorption and thickness swelling were improved.
