Five TRAD indices (i.e. Shannon-Wienner ( ), Simpson , Fisher alpha (a), Margalef (d) indices and species richness (S)) and five TAX (i.e. Taxonomic Diversity ( ), Taxonomic Distinctness ( ), Average Taxonomic Distinctness ( ), Variation in Taxonomic Distinctness ( ) and Total Taxonomic Distinctness ( )) indices were calculated for each of all sampling points. Simple correlation analyses were applied to examine the relationships among the indices. As a result, traditional diversity indices were higher correlated with each other compared to the relationships among taxonomic indices. Principle component analysis PCA were applied for not only each of the groups of the diversity indices but also for all of the indices. According to results of PCA, a kappa coefficient ( ) illustrating multicollinearity of TRAD indices was found 95.14 whereas this value was 34.63 for TAX indices. According the PCA results applied for all indices, two components (eigenvalue >1 and proportion of variance > 10%) were explained 94.62 % of total variance. All traditional diversity indices were only significantly correlated with the first axes. Regarding to taxonomic diversity indices, , and were correlated to both of the axes, whereas the significant correlations were found for with axes 1 and for with second axes. According to all results, taxonomic diversity indices describe a wider area compared to traditional diversity indices and, seems to be the best representative index for all diversity indices.
