The composite structures are bonded for repair, and to join each other and for other structural members. In this study, the behavior of adhesively bonded lap joints made of woven composites and epoxy adhesive are investigated and modeled using finite element method. The adhesive used is a film adhesive of BMS 5-101 and the substrates are glass/epoxy laminates (0/45/90/-45)2. The finite element model is used to investigate the bending stresses of the substrates and failure modes are studied, and compared with experimental work. The effect of shear stress near bond region of the lap joint on the failure is investigated. Critical bend radius during bending of the joint is studied, and the relation between critical bend radius and failure is investigated. Shear stresses near bond region are compared for composite plies. UR - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/yted/issue//238510 L1 - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/download/article-file/206897 ER -
