N2  - Settlements or swelling in the earthfill dams, tunnels, mines, under the base of storage tanks, basements of structures damage to structures seriously. The settlements and swelling may be determined and may be taken measures. This is important to reduce structures damages. Different methods are developed for these damages. In this study, it is described settlement cells measuring swelling and settlement in the structures. Settlement cells used commonly in the world are pneumatic and vibration wire settlement cells. It is related installing, application and usage of this two type cells.
