The study was used survey method. The sampling of the study consists of 40 teachers from four elementary school in a city in 2010-2011 school year. As such, data collection survey was administered to 4th and 5th grade classroom teachers and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade subject teachers. In the study “teacher competency” questionnaire developed by Banoğlu (2009) was used as a data collection tool.
