N2  - Diyarbakır Suriçi Region has a rich  historical and cultural background with  a large number of traces of civilization.  This historical and cultural heritage was  damaged because of high migration, so it  was faced the danger of extinction. It is of  importance the Suriçi Region urban renewal  project for protecting and living this  heritage. Suriçi Region is one of the most  important centers of culture and religious  tourism in Turkey. The urban renewal project  will make it enable to enrich the city’s  historic and cultural monuments of the region  again and to rethink its importance in  terms of tourism.
