N2  - Ekmeluddin al- Bâbertî is one of the most important representatives of Hanafi-Maturidite tradition. Bâbertî has many significant works in the areas of Fiqh, Kalam, Tafsir and Hadith, yet there are limited studies which deeply examine and introduce them to contemporary readers. This study primarily explores Bâbertîs life, provides information about his scholarship and works. Then the article presents verification and translation of a treatise that he wrote about leaving hands when standing up from ruqu (bowing) as a not permissible act. The treatise provides discussions about views of Abu Hanifa on the issue.
