The sample of the study consisted of 21 science teachers working in the city of Edirne. The science teachers’ views about NOS were collected through the interview. The findings of this study were illustrated in the form of a cognitive map. The research findings revealed that science teachers held several beliefs about the NOS aspects that those are commonly far from the current understanding of science. In essence, we need to pay a special attention to nature of science views of our teachers in order to help them provide a more effective science education to their students, to practice 2004 science program more successfully and to increase the success of new program, and eventually to prepare our students for the challenges and difficulties of the 21’st century.}, number={3}, publisher={Kastamonu University}
