Relational screening methos was used in this study. Participants consist of university students study in Necmettin Erbakan University-Ahmet Keleşooğlu Educational Faculty and the number of participants are 292 university students while 226 (77.4 %) of them women. To collect data Personal information form, Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, New Needs Assessment Questionnaire and Social Anxiety Scale were used. To reveal the associations between psychological needs, social anxiety and perfectionism Pearson product-moment correlation analysis was used. Further, to investigate predictive power of psychological needs and social anxiety on perfectionist attitudes of university students stepwise multiple regression analysis was used. Findings of study indicate that there is positive and significant correlations between the subdimensions of New Needs Assessment Questionnaire and subdimensions of Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale. Also there is significant correlations between subdimensions of Social Anxiety Scale and subdimensions of Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale in university student sample. In addition, regression analysis showed psychological needs and social anxiety were significant predictors of perfectinism of university student.
