For this research, quasi-experimental design of pre-test and post-test are applied. The study was conducted with total 54 students from two classes at a secondary school in Adiyaman center during the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic years. One of the classes assigned randomly as experimental group carried out virtual laboratory activities (simulation) provided by EBA database and the other as a control group of traditional laboratory activities were carried out. The data were collected by “Light and Sound Unit Achievement test”. At the end of the application, data collected from pre- and post-tests were analyzed through quantitative statistics using SPSS 15.0 software. At the end of the study it was seen that there was a significant progress on the success of the students both the instruction in virtual laboratory and traditional laboratory implementations. On the other hand, it was found a significant difference between post-test mean scores of the groups in favor of experimental group UR - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/befdergi/issue//247177 L1 - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/download/article-file/214984 ER -
