N2  - The article concerns the history of translations of Nabokov’s novels into Turkish. Theauthors give a detailed description of all the translations paying great attention to the worldfamousnovel “ Lolita”. Vladimir Nabokov, creator of the world-famous novel “LOLITA” firstbecame known to the Turkish readers at the beginning of eighties after some translations of thisnovel into Turkish. The next translations of Nabokov’s novels appeared in Turkey ten years later.The complete works by Nabokov translated by very many highly qualified Turkish translators,and even writers, made the author very popular with Turkish readers.A complete list of translators and translations into Turkish, dates of publications and publishinghouses is included.
