This consequently emerged along with a parallel interest over the surgical gowns, as being a side branch of medical textiles. Surgical gowns may be defined briefly as personal protective garments which are designed for acting as physical barriers between sterile and non-sterile zones especially for being able to keep the viral agents away from the patients and also keep the blood related pathogens away from the health personnel in order to create a safe operation environment and to minimize the risks for both parties. The group of surgical clothing includes surgical drapes, surgical gowns, masks, caps and shoe covers. They are manufactured as disposable and reusable from nonwoven and woven fabrics. Surgical gowns are the most important item among the surgical garments. The aim of this study is to explore the concerns of medical personal about the disposable and reusable surgical gowns. For this purpose, the face-to face (one-toone) query method was incorporated to totally 120 surgical personal who work at Ege University Medicine Faculty and Dokuz Eylul University Medicine Faculty.
