This research was conducted as a cross-sectional study. This research utilized survey method. Totally n=298 teacher candidates who are reading at Secondary School Science and Mathematics Education Department (Physics and Mathematics Department) and Primary School Science Education Department (Science and Mathematics Department) of Education Faculty of Dokuz Eylül University participated in this research. The data of the research was collected by “Achievement Motivation Scale (AMS)”. In conclusion, it was determined that the achievement motivations of the teacher candidates were at mid-level, and there were not significant differences among the teacher candidates according to their genders. However, there were significant differences among the teacher candidates according to their departments.
