N2  - The Anzali Lagoon is one of the most important wetlands in the southern coast of the Caspian Sea in north of Iran. Anzali Lagoon is supported by the Ramsar Convention since 1975. Anzali Lagoon is the most important wintering areas for birds, is significantly rich in terms of fauna and flora, Hence, the restriction accommodation of birds, destruction of natural vegetation and significant pollution and the aquatic fern Azolla (Azolla filiculoides) contamination via fertilizers and chemicals used in agricultural lands, especially during the summer, are consequences on the Anzali Lagoon. Due to these changes in Anzali Lagoon, planning and implementing a good program is necessary to improve lagoon
