In this work, solvent extraction method using with chloroform, carbontetrachloride, benzene and toluene was applied to remove methylene blue from aqueous phase. The effects of initial concentration, temperature, pH and addition of metal salts (KCl, NiCl2, MnCl2, FeCl3 and CrCl3 ) on extraction efficiency were examined. It was observed that the extraction efficiency decreases as the initial concentration increases, increases as the pH increases and decreases as the addition of metal salts. It can be seen that extraction efficiency related to charge of metals when using different metal salts. In addition, it was observed that the connection between extraction efficiency and temperature has an optimum point.
