N2  - The large amount of basic human nutritives is provided by plant production. The key word is“productivity” for meeting the demands of increasing population given the limited amount ofland area. In this study the structural characteristics and productivity levels of crop producingfarms that produce plants are tried to be determined. For that purpose, the data obtained from84 farms chosen by random sampling operated in the central district of the province ofAydinwere examined.The partial and factor productivities of farms were calculated and data envelopment methodwas used in determining the efficiency values. In the analyses, structural characteristics offarms, gross margin values of products, farm income, partial productivities, total factorproductivities, and input efficiencies were determined.In general, it was determined that the farms were operated at 43% efficiency, and only fourenterprises worked at 100% efficiency. It was determined that enterprises can reach the samelevel of production activity by using less inputs
