In this respect, among 55 studies (29 articles and 26 dissertations) searched, experimental studies were taken into consideration and particularly the studies in which pre-test and post-test applied and which have comparisons between groups (3 articles and 6 dissertations) were selected for the meta-analysis. As for the analysis of the study, classification developed by Thalheimerand Cook (2002) was used and the effect size of blended learning environment for academic achievement was calculated as 0.6642 that means to have medium effect size according to the relevant classification. It was determined in the research results that blended learning environments are more effective for students’ academic achievement in comparison with traditional learning environments.
