N2  - During the movements of becoming westernised, European governesses began tobe seen in Turkey. The roles of there governesses, whose numbers were increasedgradually, in Turkish social life were reflected on Turkish novel by the time. The mostfamous western governesses, the subject of the research that is at the level of the typewhich is seen in the Turkish novels, are Jozefino, Jozefin, Anjel, Courton and Şermin.
