N2  - Denim viewed knitted garments are exposed to soiled and repetitive washing processes during daily life. Repetitive washing and drying processes lead to changes that may affect user satisfaction in terms of the comfort properties of the fabric. In this study,effects of home type laundering and drying processes were investigated on thickness and air permeability features of denim viewed knitted fabrics. Fabrics were subjected to washing processes in a home type washing machine to show resemblance to daily life laundering process. After each home type washing process, some of the fabrics were dried by hanging at room temperature, some of the fabrics were dried in tumble dryer at 40°C and the rest of the fabrics were dried in tumble dryer at 70°C. Considerable comfort parameters such as thickness and air permeability features of the fabrics were tested and obtained results were evaluated.
