(2003). The new family includes several knownmodels. We obtain general explicit expressions for the quantile function, moments, probability weighted moments, generating function, mean deviation andorder statistics. The modelparameters are estimated by the maximum likelihood method. The flexibility of the proposedfamily is illustrated by means of two applications to real data sets. Theresults show that the proposed family is more flexible than existing familieshaving even more parameters. CR - A. Z. Afify, G.G. Hamedani, I. Ghosh and M. E. Mead, (2015).
