The people surveyed selected randomly and the survey have applied face toface to 409 persons. The majority of the respondents (73.3%) prefered to consume thevegetal and animal products together. Animal product consumption rate found in lowlevels, 18.3%. The vegetal product consumption was 8.3%. In the center of Malatya, therate of the fish meat likers was 89% while the rate of dislike fish meat was 11%. Whenlooked into surveyed people how often consume fish, it was seen that the ratio of fishconsumption was 26% once of the week, the ratio of fish consumption was 10% 2-3times of the week and once of the fifteen days was 28%. The rate of those who neverconsume fish was 4% while the rate of consuming fish was 10%, one or several times ofthe year. It was determined that 38% of surveyed 409 persons prefered to eat sea fishand 25% of them prefered to eat freshwater fish. While 31% of them didn’t overseedifferences between the sea or freshwater fish species, 5% of them said none of those.23% of surveyed people pointed out usually consumpte more salmon and carp, 22% ofthem usually consumpte more anchovy, horse mackerel and other inland water fish(perch, bream and acorn et al.), 19% of them usually consumpte more alabalık and 8%Adıyaman University Journal of Sciencedergipark.ulakbim.gov.tr/adyufbdADYUSCI6 (2) (2016) 132-155133of them usually consume more salmon, carp and other inland water fish.
