Chronic diseases (hypertension, asthma, heart and kidney diseases etc.), risk factors (socioeconomic status, waist-to-hip ratio, body mass index, smoking) and muscle-skeletal problems (range of motion, posture, pain, muscle strength and tone) were identified by physical health screening questionnaire that prepared by authors. Correlation analysis is performed for determining the age and gender-related chronic disease and pain prevalence. </p> <p class="MsoHeader">Results: People sharing the same apartment of less than 2 and no more than 30 people. 24% of subjects were smoking, 14% of noneducated, 52% of unemployed, 28% of overweight and 34% of obese. Obesity was higher in women (p <0, 05) and mean BMI 28, 18 ±, 7376 and waist-hip ratio was at limit the risk of disease (mean ± 0, 8442, 01 336 cm). While the most common chronic disease was hypertension (18%), asthma (6%) was in the second place. While 74% of subjects expressing pain by visual analog scale of 3-10; frequent pain range was 7/10 and frequent pain type shooting (50%). Although there was no significant differences presence of pain according to gender (p >0, 05), pain was more frequent between 35-44 years old. Parts of the body where pain was encountered are respectively, waist, knees, neck, shoulder, foot and ankle, hip, and the wrist. </p> <p class="MsoHeader">Conclusion: Syrian refugees are under threat by psychological effects caused by the war, poor environment and living conditions with non-communicable chronic diseases and risk factors associated with these diseases. It should be Syrian refugees are should be approached multidisciplinary for the prevention of non-communicable chronic diseases that resulting in every year the death of 38 million people around the world and pain that negatively affect people via biopsychosocial aspects. </p> </div>}, publisher={Hacettepe University}
