Orienting employees to their new workplaces and their jobs is one of the most neglected functions in many organizations. An effective orientation program - or the lack of one - will make a significant difference in how quickly a new employee becomes productive and these programs has other long-term impacts for organizations. In this context, the aim of this paper is to point importance of employee orientation with a field study. This field study’s results indicate that there is a direct proportion between employee’s satisfaction level about trainer performance, training contents and organizational commitment for this research group.
