Effects of boric acid on the growth, hepatosomatic index and viscerosomatic
index of rainbow trout were investigated. In our study, hepatosomatic index
values ​​were calculated as 1.238 ± 0.10 <sup>b </sup>, 1.251 ± 0.10 <sup>b </sup>,
1.292 ± 0.15 <sup>ab </sup>, 1.325 ± 0.11 <sup>ab </sup> and 1.387 ± 0.12 <sup>a </sup>,
respectively. Viscerosomatic index values ​​were found as 17.149 ± 1.06 <sup>a </sup>,
16.63 ± 1.26 <sup>a </sup>, 16.322 ± 1.23 <sup>a </sup>, 15.041 ± 1.48 <sup>b </sup>
and 13.965 ± 1.04 <sup>b </sup>. The highest hepatosomatic index value (1.387 ±
0.12) was found in the group to which 0.20% boric acid was added, while the
lowest hepatosomatic index value was found in the control group. In our study,
the highest viscerosomatic index value (17.149 ± 1.06) was observed in the
control group while the lowest viscerosomatic index value was calculated in the
