N2  - The aim of this study was to determine the level of knowledge ofstudents who participated inter-universities sports games, in football branch,on the ergogenic aids and to what level those students used those aids. Theparticipants of this study were male (n=109) and female (n=28) students whoplayed football in the mentioned sports games, and all of whom were universitystudents and whose average calendar, sport and football ages were 21.93 ±, 1.75year, 11.01±, 2.72 year, 9.82± 2.85 year (male) and 21.39 ±2.08 year, 7.18±3.01 year, 3.00 ±2.65 year (female), respectively. Data were collected byadministering a questionnaire. In the statistical analysis of the data thefrequencies and proportions were calculated. As a result, it could be said thata significant proportion -as % 85- of the footballers who played football in inter-universitiessports games in Turkey had knowledge about ergogenic aids; that a greatmajority of them used psychological (% 80), mechanic (% 88), nutritional andphysiological (% 86) aids; that they refrained from object and practises thatmight threaten their health even if they might cotribute them to reach greater achievements,and that they used those aids becouse they believed in the necessity andbenefit of them.
