N2  - Theaim of this study was to determine if there was a difference in the physicalself perception level betweenthe boy and the girl basketball players who play in youth andjunior age group.137 athletes who were 42junior male aged (17,19 ± .39), 25 junior female aged (17,20± .40) and 40 youthmale aged (15,57±.54) and 30female aged (15,43± .50) totally participated in our study. When Physical SelfPerception Profile (PSPP) wasconsidered according to the gender, sport competence levels of junior femaleplayers were higher thanjunior male players;body attractiveness levels of junior male players werehigher thanjunior female players.Besides, there wasn’t any significant differences between youth females andmales’scores of subscales PSPP. When PSPP level is considered according to theage group, sport competencelevels of junior female players were found higher than youthfemale players; body attractiveness and generalphysical competence levels ofyouth female players were higher than junior female players. Besides, therewasn’t found any significantdifferences between youth males and junior males’ scores of subscales PSPP..
