A total of 31 taxa were identified belonging to </span> <span style="font-family:Georgia, serif;">Bacillariophyta (13), Charophyta (2), Chlorophyta (7), Cyanobacteria (2), Cryptophyta (1), Miozoa (2) and Euglenophyta (4) divisions. Diatoms, green algae and euglenophyts constituted majority of the phytoplankton in terms of species number. According to functional groups classification, the phytoplankton composition of Elmali Dam Lake constituted of B, D, N, P, X1, Y, F, J, H1, L <sub>O </sub>, M, MP, T <sub>B </sub>, W1 and W2 groups. The presence of mesotrophic and eutrophic species indicated that the lake is changing to eutrophic characteristics in terms of trophic structure. </span> </p> <p> </p>}, number={1}, publisher={Erzincan Binali Yildirim University}
