There are greater olive wealth with plenty of wild olive and cultivars in Turkey. As the other olive growing countries, there are a lot of varieties which botanical, agronomical and technological characters are unknown in our country. To conservation of olive genetic resources is the most important mission as an Olive Research Institution. Surveys were started again under “Collection, Conservation and Characterization of Olive Genetic Resource” project in 2008. 21 olive types were collected during these surveys in Aegean, Black Sea and Marmara regionsIn this study, some characters of 21 olive types were shown which carried out according to Olive Methodology prepared by International Olive Oil Council. Some characters, which are fruit shape and weight, leaf shape, length of the internodes, nipple, presence of lenticels and size of lenticels, location of start of color change, color at full maturity, were given in this work about 21 olive types.
